I am a writer. You are too, as long as you write! I created this blog to share some of the info about writing and being a writing tutor that I’ve learned through my college experiences. I recently graduated with a B. A. in English from a small liberal arts school.

The posts on this blog fall into five main categories. Sometimes I just ramble about being a writer and what that means to me. (Those posts end up in the “Thoughts about writing” category).Β  Sometimes I share quotations from other writers that have been helpful to me.

Do you want to improve your writing skills and learn more about the writing process? Then check out the “Help for Writers” category, where I share information that I’ve gained working as a tutor at my college writing center.

Are you thinking of getting a job as a writing tutor? Check out the “Help for Tutors” category! Being a writing tutor is a great experience because you have the opportunity to help other students reach their full potential as writers. It can be intimidating at first (take it from an introvert) but it’s a skill that can be learned just like anything else.

Finally, some of my posts are just for fun!

  1. Just saw your comment @damyantig and I said I’ll look at your site. I’m not a writer, but all my life I wanted to be one. I wrote stories in my own lingo and had forgotten about it. But now that I’m blogging I can practice some more.. Would be nice to have some new friends that got knowledge about it. Just don’t yell at me if I’ve got typo error or sometimes it’s grammatically incorrect for English is not my first language. LOL. Hope to hear from you.

    • I’m so glad you stopped by my blog! Don’t worry, I’m not a grammar Nazi πŸ™‚ I’m always really impressed by people who are willing to take risks and write in a language that’s not their first one. If there are any topics that you’d like to know more about, just let me know and I’ll see what I can do! I don’t know everything about writing, but I’m learning more all the time, and I love sharing my journey with other writers.

  2. Fellow college writing tutor here πŸ™‚ I’m a senior working at a writing center at a small liberal arts college. Nice to see someone else have a passion for improving the quality of writing and treating writing as a communal practice.
