I am a writer. You are too, as long as you write! I created this blog to share some of the info about writing and being a writing tutor that I’ve learned through my college experiences. I recently graduated with a B. A. in English from a small liberal arts school.
The posts on this blog fall into five main categories. Sometimes I just ramble about being a writer and what that means to me. (Those posts end up in the “Thoughts about writing” category). Sometimes I share quotations from other writers that have been helpful to me.
Do you want to improve your writing skills and learn more about the writing process? Then check out the “Help for Writers” category, where I share information that I’ve gained working as a tutor at my college writing center.
Are you thinking of getting a job as a writing tutor? Check out the “Help for Tutors” category! Being a writing tutor is a great experience because you have the opportunity to help other students reach their full potential as writers. It can be intimidating at first (take it from an introvert) but it’s a skill that can be learned just like anything else.
Finally, some of my posts are just for fun!
